Sayso is new. The people running it have spent decades paying people for their opinions — writing the surveys, filling the panels, and reading the answers that come back. This is the version we wanted to build once we knew what was worth fixing.
Create your accountFor years our work has been on the other side of the survey: helping companies find out what people actually think before they spend real money on a launch. Doing that means buying access to panels. A lot of panels.
So we’ve had a long look at what those panels feel like from the answering chair. Twenty minutes of screener questions to find out you don’t qualify. No idea what a survey pays until you’re too far in to walk away. Careful answers that nobody reads. Accounts shut off with no explanation and nobody to ask.
The research came out fine. What it cost the people answering was the part that bothered us. Sayso is us doing that half ourselves, starting with the things we’ve heard complaints about for years.
Your time and your perspective are worth paying for. So the pay and the estimated time are labeled on a survey before you start it, and we do our best to send you surveys you already match instead of making you audition for them.
A real answer deserves a real reader. The questions come from people building something. Sometimes that’s a founder with a first product. Sometimes it’s a team at a company whose packaging you’ve walked past in the aisle, or a studio behind a game you’ve played. They read the written answers themselves, which is why it’s worth writing a real sentence here.
Quality control has to cut both ways. We screen hard for bots, copy-paste junk, and answers that came out of a chatbot instead of a person — that’s what keeps the pay worth it for the people doing real work. Nobody wants to write a thoughtful paragraph and get paid the same as someone who pasted in whatever a model handed them. And when a check flags a real person, we try to be fair about it. There’s someone behind every account, and we act like it.
The deal is the survey, and it stops there. You’re getting paid for your answers, so yes — the answers you give a study go to the company that asked for them. That’s the trade. What doesn’t happen is the rest of it: we don’t sell your profile to data brokers, and your answers don’t get passed around outside the study you gave them to. Close your account whenever you like and your data goes with it.
No origin myth — just the part that’s useful to you:
That experience is why this panel is matched and modest rather than big and noisy. We already know what the big-and-noisy version costs the people inside it.
Being straight about the limits is the fastest way to tell us apart from the sites that aren’t.
Build your profile in a few minutes — the fuller it is, the more surveys find you. We’ll let you know when one does.
